Writing is a remarkable tool for self-awareness and mindfulness; it empowers you to achieve wellness and healing. In these workshops, we will explore various writing prompts and poetry to process past experiences, clarify what matters most to us, and create a vision for our inspired future.

Our workshop draws on over 30 years of research by James Pennebaker on writing as a healing tool, alongside John F. Evans' insights into writing for health. Participants will engage in a progressive learning journey that explores the Sixteen Reasons for Writing for Health, including:

Creating a vision

Clarifying values

Assessing current personal status

Changing perspective and perception

Expressing and defining readiness to change

Building confidence

Discovering your own resourcefulness

One-on-One Write to Heal 6-Week Program

In this one-on-one program, we will meet virtually once a week for six weeks. I will guide you through six distinct types of writing inspired by my work with the late John F. Evans, a creative writing educator and integrative health coach, focusing on healing and well-being. We will explore Expressive Writing, Transactional Writing, Poetic Writing, the Illness Narrative, Affirmative Writing, and Legacy Writing. You will not be required to share your writing, but together we will reflect on your insights regarding yourself and your health. By the end of the program, you will have a clear vision of the health and well-being you wish to achieve, along with actionable steps to reach your goals.
